- The historic Town of Occoquan is located in Prince William County next to Lake Ridge on the Occoquan River. It began as a port town for tobacco and lumber while hosting iron manufacturing and milling operations. Occoquan later became popular as a stop for motorists passing through on the East Coast Highway before Route 1 was constructed. It has survived fire, hurricanes, and floods to become recognized for its specialty shops, restaurants, and the site of the biggest arts and crafts show on the east coast (Occoquan Days).
- The Vikings have 52 clubs. The Center for Fine and Performing Arts for Prince William County Schools is at Woodbridge S.H.S. The school newspaper (Valkyrie) and yearbook (Valhalla) have earned numerous state awards. Woodbridge Senior High School is also hosts JROTC, and a program which includes engineering courses for approved students. Woodbridge High School athletics seems to excel at every sport in the Cardinal District. More importantly it is fully-accredited based in Virginia Standards of Learning testing.
- The Woodbridge Station on the Fredericksburg Line of Virginia Railway Express commuter train service. Local commuter connection service to the Woodbridge and Rippon Stations in Prince William County is provided by OmniLink and OmniRide.
- Lake Ridge residents have access to several marinas in Prince William County. The Occoquan River is host to Belmont Bay Marina, Hoffmaster’s Marina, Occoquan Harbour Marina, and Prince William Marina (pictured here).

Lake Ridge is in Eastern Prince William County near Interstate 95 Exit 160 (Lake Ridge) and 158B (Woodbridge-Manassas on Prince William County Parkway).
